Networking

Here I will include an ever evolving list of links for Chapters, Conventions and Workshops useful to aspiring and published authors. These groups and events provide networking opportunities married to an educational purpose.

I live in Utah, so in the beginning many of these conventions will be local to where I live. There should be similar events in most states. Eventually, I'll expand my list.

NaNoWriMo : A great networking tool as well as motivational aid, National Novel Writer's Month exists for the professional writer as well as the amateur. Its a great way to meet people and become a part of the community.

League of Utah Writers : Membership is 25$, and gives access to discounts on conventions and membership in a local chapter for monthly critique groups and additional opportunities.

The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators : Tiered Membership begins at 95$. A great resource for anyone publishing Children's books.

Fantasy Con : 3 - Day Tickets sell at 60$. Smaller than ComicCon, its a great place to meet authors, editors and agents.
